Greetings and welcome to CAFP Halifax / Dartmouth Branch.

Welcome to the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals Halifax/Dartmouth Branch home page.  We are very excited about the upcoming 2017-2018 program and hope you are too.  CAFP is one of the only associations in the food service industry that welcomes members from all sectors. Our professional members come from a variety of sectors including chefs, consultants, educators, food manufacturing representatives, dietitians, equipment representatives, corporate buyers, healthcare managers and directors, brokers and distributors.  We also have two very strong student branches, Mount Saint Vincent University and Acadia University.  Our professional and student members benefit from meeting new people, developing relationships and sharing knowledge with fellow members. This diverse group shares a common goal - dedication to enhancing the food service industry through ongoing networking, mentoring and education with people that are just as passionate about what they do as you are.  And we always focus on having a great time while we are at it.

Additional benefits of becoming a CAFP member include student bursaries & internships, our annual national conference (17/18 in Burnaby, BC) and CFE accreditation opportunity (fully recognized in the Tourism and Foodservice/Hospitality industry).

The Halifax/Dartmouth Branch meets once per month including two of our favorite events, the Annual Christmas Auction and the Awards Night.  We also attend 2 student hosted events where the students plan every detail.  Our VPs of Professional Development are working hard at planning the upcoming meetings with various interesting venues and educational focuses.  Stay tuned.

If you are interested in joining our association in any capacity (as a member, part of our executive or as a guest), please do not hesitate to contact us at halifax@cafp.ca.

Sincerely,

Kim Eisnor

Branch President, Halifax/Dartmouth
